R.I.P. RONNIE JAMES DIO

We´re totally shocked and sad about the loss of a true legend and one of the nicest guys in the whole Music business. Our deepest condolences to Ronnie James Dio´s family and friends.

"Ronnie was and ever will be one of my heroes. I remember when he said "Axel my son, let me hug you" at the beginning of last years Heaven & Hell German Tour, where we´d been the special guests. It was such a great honor for us to open for them and we really enjoyed the tour. I met Ronnie a couple of times during the last ten years and he always was very friendly and nice to me, my wife and my band...
Ronnie... thank you so much for all your music, lyrics, inspirations and friendship, you will live on forever in my heart and in my music. Someday we will meet in Heaven or Hell..."

"THE CREST" will enter the Official German Media Control Top 100 Album Charts at postion 22 this week ! Thanks to all the fans for their ongoing support !

Thanks to all who mentioned that the new CD "The Crest" is already available for illegal downloading. But how stupid can someone be and post the link for that in the Guestbook ???We are aware of all those illegal download pages and platforms and we are also aware of the illegal posted songs on YouTube. YouTube is informed about the copyright violation and we will definately find out very soon who is responsible for all that illegal shit, every single computer has a specific IP number... Believe me, this guys will have a very tough time in the near future. Those guys are poor creatures who don´t understand how the business works. Everybody wants to have everything for free.... but soon they´ll find out, that there will be no music any longer. If every new Cd got stolen and offered for illegal download, nobody will get paid for it. Not the artists and not the record company ! So the next logical step will be, that no record company will pay any musicians to make a new record, because it will be available for free anyway... Think about it and blame the Muthaf*****s who are responsible for that !Respect and honor to all who will buy "The Crest" legal, you are the REAL fans, Thank you !

NEW ALBUM AND TOUR DETAILS

Axel Rudi Pell will release the brandnew studio album called "The Crest" via SPV on April 26th 2010 (Germany: April 23rd 2010). It will feature 10 brandnew songs which run approx. 57 min. "This is definately our Masterpiece so far, it has everything to become a real classic in the long ARP history ! A record packed with energy and emotions ! In a few weeks we will put one complete track on this site for your listening pleasure, so stay tuned !" Axel and the band will start their next tour in May. "We will split the tour in different sections, so the dates for MAY are only the first part. We will definately do more shows in the fall around October and a few summer dates as well"! NEW DVD AND NEW ALBUM UPDATE

A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL ! We´re very sorry that it took so long  for another News update, but the Band still´s working on the new CD. "This will be definately our masterpiece! Everybody in the band is so excited about the new songs and I really can say that it will be our best album by far. The recordings are completely finished now and Charlie Bauerfeind and I will finish the mix next week. In the meantime enjoy the new DVD called "ONE NIGHT LIVE - Live at the Rock Of Ages Festival 2009" which will be released in Germany on February 19th and in the rest of the world on February 22nd 2010. As the title says it features our complete 75 min. performance of last year´s Rock Of Ages Festival in Germany. We definately didn´t do any overdubs, so what you hear and see is what really happened that night, with all the mistakes and "blue" notes ! But that´s Liv(f)e !!!"

DVD COMING, STUDIO RECORDING SOON
"I´m still in the process of getting the finishing touches to the new songs. We will be in the studio for the recordings starting at the end of November. All I can say is that I´m damn proud of the new material, a few of the best songs I ever wrote.
There will be a new DVD coming out this year, called "ONE NIGHT LIVE" and will feature our complete performance of this years´s "Rock Of Ages" Festival. Stay tuned for the cover and the release date very soon."
