NEW ALBUM AND TOUR DETAILS

Axel Rudi Pell will release the brandnew studio album called "The Crest" via SPV on April 26th 2010 (Germany: April 23rd 2010). It will feature 10 brandnew songs which run approx. 57 min. "This is definately our Masterpiece so far, it has everything to become a real classic in the long ARP history ! A record packed with energy and emotions ! In a few weeks we will put one complete track on this site for your listening pleasure, so stay tuned !" Axel and the band will start their next tour in May. "We will split the tour in different sections, so the dates for MAY are only the first part. We will definately do more shows in the fall around October and a few summer dates as well"! NEW DVD AND NEW ALBUM UPDATE

A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL ! We´re very sorry that it took so long  for another News update, but the Band still´s working on the new CD. "This will be definately our masterpiece! Everybody in the band is so excited about the new songs and I really can say that it will be our best album by far. The recordings are completely finished now and Charlie Bauerfeind and I will finish the mix next week. In the meantime enjoy the new DVD called "ONE NIGHT LIVE - Live at the Rock Of Ages Festival 2009" which will be released in Germany on February 19th and in the rest of the world on February 22nd 2010. As the title says it features our complete 75 min. performance of last year´s Rock Of Ages Festival in Germany. We definately didn´t do any overdubs, so what you hear and see is what really happened that night, with all the mistakes and "blue" notes ! But that´s Liv(f)e !!!"

DVD COMING, STUDIO RECORDING SOON
"I´m still in the process of getting the finishing touches to the new songs. We will be in the studio for the recordings starting at the end of November. All I can say is that I´m damn proud of the new material, a few of the best songs I ever wrote.
There will be a new DVD coming out this year, called "ONE NIGHT LIVE" and will feature our complete performance of this years´s "Rock Of Ages" Festival. Stay tuned for the cover and the release date very soon."

Axel joined Uli Jon Roth on stage at the "Hendrix Night" Sky Academy Jam on September 5th at the Rock ´n Pop Museum in Gronau, Germany. "Uli invited me to play there and of course I accepted his invitation. Although it was a "Hendrix Night", we played 2 songs by Deep Purple, "Mistreated" and "Black Night", together with his band. It was great with a long jamming part in the middle of both songs, which lasted almost 30 minutes ! Believe me, we had much fun doin´it ! Now all live playing activities for this year are over and now I will 100 % concentrate on the songwriting for the next album". Watch this space for any updates soon!

Axel currently is in business talks about the next studio album and will continue the songwriting process for that very soon. "I can say, that from the musical ideas I collected so far, the next record will be back to the roots, a  very very typical ARP sounding one with lots of melodies, harmonies,  powerfull riffs, catchy hooklines and emotional solos . I´ll try my very best to deliver the ultimate and strongest ARP album !" A release is expected around April of 2010, stay tuned !

The band is preparing for the final 2 shows of this year: July 31st - Rock Of Ages Festival and August 1st - Wacken Open Air.

SPV will release a "BEST OF" compilation of the last 10 years, to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the recent line-up, the 20 year anniversary of Axel as a solo artist ("Wild Obsession" came out in 1989) and the 25th anniversary of Axel as a recording artist (the first Steeler record came out in 1984). It will be released just in time for the second part of  "The Skull Cown Tour" which will see the band as the special guest on all 5 dates of the upcoming "Heaven & Hell" german Tour in June. The CD will have a special low price and the tracks are:
